Some Basic Concepts Of Computer

What Is Computer ?

Computer is an electronic device that can store and arrange information and it can perform a variety of operations.

Primary Memory / RAM / Main Memory

It Is Random Access memory the memory can be accessed for information transfer from any random location and it is volatile so it can retain data when the power is on.

Secondary Memory

It stores the data permanently even when the power is off. it can store large volume of data.

Virtual Memory

It is imaginary memory supported by the operating systems in conjucation with hardware the purpose of virtual memory is to enlarge address space

CPU

It is central processing unit . It is the brain of the computer where all kind of data processed according to set of instructions.

Operating System

It is a software which manages all applications and programs in a computer.

Cloud Computing

Storing and Accessing the data and programs over the internet instead of using computer hard disk.
